Reece Wallace is one of our longest-standing athletes, having been part of the Chromag family for over 16 years. He started out as a grom and worked his way up through the slopestyle scene, eventually earning a spot at Red Bull Rampage by heading to Utah and filming his own impressive application video. Over the years, Reece has proven himself to be a hardworking and resourceful guy. He’s helped out in our warehouse, assembled product, managed our team, and stayed closely involved behind the scenes.
Outside of his riding career, Reece has learned to fly airplanes and carved out a path as a content creator—producing numerous video projects that often required complex feature builds, land rentals, and collaborations with bike parks. Most recently, he’s built a full slopestyle course at his home, where he hosts the Reece Wallace Invitational—a yearly event that brings together some of the top freeriders in the world.
Reece is more than just an athlete—he’s a long-time friend who’s grown alongside the brand and continues to push both himself and the sport in creative new ways.
Reece: In 2009, one of Chromag’s people saw me riding at the Whistler River Jumps and wanted to make an introduction to Ian about sponsorship. From there, I got my first free bike (Monk) and that’s where it all started.

Any time I get to progress my riding I’m happy. I’m not really a ‘chill ride’ kind of guy—I find purpose and fun in improving.
I love the soft goods. I came from riding several other ‘moto’ inspired brands, and I always felt a bit kooky and clown like in bright kits—like I was gearing up for a tattooed Monster energy fueled supercross race, something I have zero interest in. The Chromag apparel is lowkey, subtle, designed specifically for mtb—not just moto rip offs. The quality surpasses anything I’ve ridden before.
My favourite items are the pants, specifically the Seton—stretchy, lightweight and breathable. The Tact gloves are bangin' too.

Absolutely. Right now, Sun Peaks is my favourite place to ride. Anytime I can fly to ride, it makes the ride that much more enjoyable!
I’ve been running similar Chromag componentry for a long time. The OSX has been my workhorse handlebar for 15 years, and I’ve never broken one (knock on wood). I’m also running the Overture saddle on all bikes (it’s quite versatile, even for pedaling), Dagga & Scarab pedals, and a mix of the RIZA, HiFi and Director stems.

This spring, I'm building a bunch of stunts for an upcoming free ride video. Think North Shore meets big mountain lines - should be out in late July!
