Love how they fit and feel, less than stoked on how they stay up. The pads haven’t fallen down but the top cuff slips down regularly. they’re tall enough to be pretty revealing pulling them up on trail! I might try a small if I can find them
in store, or maybe go back to my trusted, and stinky, L Rifts.

Comfortable and feel substantial without being too bulky. And the fit is great!

Really happy with both the Chromag Shift Knee and Shift Elbow Guards, but I wanted to leave a review specifically to help others with sizing.
For reference, I’m 6'2" / 188 cm and usually around 185 lbs / 84 kg, give or take about 5 lbs / 2.25 kg. I normally wear a Large in pretty much every knee and elbow pad I’ve owned.
I followed Chromag’s sizing charts and my measurements put me in a Large for both. However, the Large was much tighter than expected. Felt like a normal Medium would.
I ended up going with XL for both the knee and elbow guards, and they fit great. The XL basically fits the way I would normally expect a Large to fit from other brands.
So if you’re deciding between sizes, I would definitely keep in mind that these run small and you may want to size up.
The pads themselves feel great. They’re comfortable, low profile, flexible, and the RHEON protection gives them a nice balance between protection and mobility.
One thing I would like to see in a future version is some additional foam padding around the perimeter of the main impact protector. A little extra padding around the sides of the knee and elbow would provide some additional coverage for impacts that don’t land directly on the main protector, without necessarily making the pads much bulkier.
Normally, I would take one star off and give these ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because of the sizing issue. However, Chromag Customer Service was excellent and handled the situation extremely well, which brought the overall experience right back to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me.

Awesome low profile knee pads. Very easy to pedal in, and surprisingly robust protection!

2nd pair, the first pair lasted 3 years with 3-4 rides per week of heavy abuse. This new batch of pads feature some much needed improvements; longer length now covers most of my shins to sock line, stronger elastic near top of knee. Interchangeable, gone are the Right and Left pads. Looking forward to putting some heavy miles on this new pair. Great styling and a great price, can't recommend enough!

I have had several pairs of the old Rift and got along well with them. The new Shift feels a bit more secure on my hot dog legs. They also rub a bit less, previously I would get a little rub on my knee cap when pedaling. No issues so far with these

Unfortunately managed to test these out after injuring my knee wearing another brand's pads. Barely felt any force on what was already an open wound underneath and no extra damage. Super comfy to pedal in, so impressed I bought a second pair to bring home from canada

6 months of heavy use and these are a winner. Stay in place perfectly and comfy. Been on a lot of 4 - 5 hr rides and they were hardly noticed. Big thumbs up :)

I recommend them to everyone. They’re awesome. The sizing chart is spot on.

Very comfy/don't slip down

Excellent knee pad, very comfortable and fit great with the oversized grip bands at top and bottom.

Shift Knee Guard

Just came back from a six day enduro event in the French Alps. Big days out - rolling at 8am each day, and back in a hotel at 5pm each day. These pads stayed put, and out of my mind every day. Pads came off in the hotel room each night! Usually I suffer from some chafe of some sort on longer pedal days. Not the case with these!

I must say the first few rides on them they felt a bit tight (I went by the website specs), but they seemed to mellow out and hit a sweet spot. Way to nail it for an all day pad Chromag Team!

If you want a great fit and all day riding comfort, go no further! The added length, especially at the top, as well as the materials are key in making this the best knee pad out there!

These are the best fitting and most comfortable knee guards I have owned. The one time I came off the bike with these one I felt the protection was perfect.

Pads are super comfy and stay in place. Offer just the right amount of protection for the kind of riding I like to do.

These pads rule. So comfortable and move with your leg. Pedalled for a couple hours in them and they never moved and I barely felt them.Great pad.

Had the Rapha Trail Knees which were super comfortable. When those gave up I got these because people said they were similar but a better company. The material is even more comfy. I’ve worn these on super long days of up to 12 hours with no complaints. Only advice is to go off the measurements. Chromag suggested I was an XL which I’ve never worn so I purchased that size anyways. Fit is spot on with no movement.

I love these knee pads. They aren't a rigid protection pad BUT the movement and flexibility they offer is amazing. My previous knee pads would chaff my knees, I've worn these now for up to 5 hours and no problems. They don't slide, they don't feel overly hot, and they offer fairly good shin coverage. I did order a large by accident and am glad, the M wouldn't fit. My thighs are roughly 24in, 19in closer to my knees.

I've done some 6+ hour rides in these pads and they were comfortable throughout. They've taken a few knocks and are still holding together great.

The pads fit perfectly after using the sizing guide. They stay put and are unobtrusive. They are perfect for trail riding.

Sometimes when you put on an item it feels good.... sometimes it feels great and sometimes it's like holy F&$K this is nice. That's my impression of these. Hands down the most comfortable knee pads i've worn. Bravo Chromag, these are epic!

Super thin & super protective

One ride in and the shifts feel great. Needed a new slim knee pad and bought the M size. On the tighter side but shouldn't blow out as fast a L size would. The upper cuff fits real high up your thigh and the lower cuff fits real low down your calf. I kinda like a little more room between my sock and the bottom of the cuff but the pads didn't move at all. Silky kinda feel. We'll see how they hold up.

Bought these as a replacement to my 4-5 year old Rifts, which I probably should have replaced long ago.

The Shifts are a clear improvement in coverage, comfort and protection. The larger leg band means they stay up better and don't migrate under pants. Chromag nailed the protection vs trim-fit tradeoff, these feel minimal but protect very well in a crash.

Bit expensive, but this is a premium product that competes with the top kneepads on the market. If these wear out or get destroyed, I'd happily buy another pair.

Go well under riding pants, comfortable on 1-2 hour rides, don’t drift or creep. Good stuff.

I liked the rift pads a lot, but I wore them out and couldn't source replacements. I tried the Aktas but the fit wasn't as good and the D30 pad dug into my shin. Enter the shift: great fit, soft pad, totally stable. 5/5 stars.

I've ridden a lot of knee pads over the years and never had one I could wear all day and forget I had them on until the shift! Hands down the best pads ive had, feel great and work even better!

Most comfy knees I’ve tried. Will be my go to for regular everyday riding.

Ended up wearing these on an inadvertently extended drive only having worn them once. After 4 hours of driving no issues at all. I have ridden them now a few more times, very comfy and they don’t migrate south. Hope to never use the padding but at least it will likely be in the right spot when called to action.
